What Is CellTrack?

CellTrack is an online service that lets you track someone’s location without installing anything on their phone—or yours. You can find their location, full name, social media profiles, residential address, and many other things using their phone number.

In our CellTrack review, we found it to be easy to use, even if you’ve never tried similar tools before. The tracking process happens completely online and doesn’t require a subscription.

CellTrack Pros and Cons

celltrack

Before we get to the main part of our CellTrack reviewan in-depth look at its featureslet’s first look at a list of pros and cons based on our tests:

Pros:

  • Lets you find anyone using a phone number from any browser
  • Supports all phones and network operators worldwide
  • Offers convenient credit-based payment system

Cons:

  • Lacks consistency when it comes to the accuracy of the location data
  • Has a cluttered and poorly designed interface

Key CellTrack Features

When preparing this post, we noticed that an average CellTrack review focuses on its tracking capabilities, even though there are other features worth discussing. So, to help you decide if CellTrack is the right fit for you, we tested them all and listed the key ones that stood out to us.

Here’s what you can do with CellTrack:

Locate Any Phone

CellTrack lets you locate any phone number by sending a request to the person you want to track. As soon as they accept your request, you’ll receive a report with their current location and other useful details.

What we especially like about CellTrack is that it estimates the accuracy of location data by giving it a score from “High” to “Low.”

On the flip side, we found that it didn’t always provide precise coordinates, unlike similar tools. For some numbers, CellTrack only displayed the approximate location, showing the country and city.

Check WhatsApp Status

WhatsApp Status is a feature similar to Instagram Stories. It allows you to share photos, videos, and text using it, and when someone taps on your profile picture, they can view what you’ve posted.

CellTrack lets you do the same thing as the WhatsApp app—viewing someone’s status—but it lets you do so without adding them to your contact list.

Send a Text Message

In our CellTrack review, we found that the anonymous SMS feature is both convenient and easy to use. It’s somewhat similar to other online SMS services that charge a small fee per text, which were quite popular in the early 2000s before messaging apps became mainstream. All you need to do is to fill out the fields and press Send.

Phone Number Lookup

This feature is no less useful for finding someone’s location or, more specifically, their residential address. Lookup tools pull information from public record databases to provide details tied to a phone number, full name, or address, and CellTrack works similarly.

On the user’s end, the process is quite simple: enter the phone number into a search box, and you’ll get the residential address of its owner. That’s all there is to it.

Social Media Lookup

Linking phone numbers to social media accounts is quite common. For our CellTrack review, we tested the social media lookup tool to see if it could find hidden profiles using these linked phone numbers.

The results? It does. That said, finding a social media account using a phone number only works if the person has added their number to their profile. If they don’t, you probably won’t find anything.

CellTrack Review: What Do Users Have to Say?

While CellTrack has been around for over 4 years, it has relatively few reviews on TrustPilot, just 267.

Many users praise CellTrack’s ease of use and speed:

One CellTrack review mentions that it isn’t helpful for locating lost phones, and we can confirm this. This trick only works if someone finds your phone and clicks the tracking link.

Some users complain that CellTrack isn’t as accurate as it claims to be:

Conclusion

Overall, our CellTrack review revealed that this online tool has many useful features, and they do work. At the same time, there’s still room for improvement, especially in its core function—GPS tracking. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the accurate and consistent results we expected.

If you’re looking for more than an approximate location of your target device, it’s better to try out alternatives. One tool worth considering is Detectico. We recommend it for its consistent performance, speed, and precise location data. Moreover, Detectico’s one-day trial costs less than a dollar, so check it out!
